MALAYSIA

Kent will be traveling to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the end of May, 2009 for another exciting opportunity of ministry to the Malaysian Church. Kent will train leaders and speak to the fellowship at the Wesley Church. Last year, God greatly blessed the ministry there and we believe God will do even greater things this year. The Pastor of KL Wesley is Rev. Andrew Tan.

Please pray for God to meet the people of Malaysia with power. It is a strategic country in Asia and the work of Christ is vital there.

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE

Kent will be the speaker at the Graduation Baccalaureate Service at the Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock, Georgia, on May 17, 2009. Please join us in prayer for the young people and families who will attend. May God meet with us in a powerful way to call them to active, vital, and courageous faith.

SCOTLAND

Kent will be traveling to Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland March 26 – April 6 to conduct leadership training and to preach in the Link Christian Fellowship with whom we have a long and wonderful relationship. Their pastor, Rev. Iain Allan and his wife, Norma, have been long-time friends of Kent and Sandy. The influence of KRM there has been gratifying as it has influenced many others to join in the work there. In addition, it has opened the door for Iain and Norma to do a great deal of ministry in the United States. We are blessed to have this opportunity and friendship.

Normally, Sandy would also participate in this ministry but Kent and Sandy’s son Chaz and his wife, Georgia, are expecting their second child in March and Sandy want to be available for them when the baby arrives.

MEN'S RETREAT

Kent will lead a retreat for the men of the Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in Buford, Georgia, March 13-15. The Senior Pastor of Sugar Hill is Rev. Dr. James Mooneyhan and is a long-time friend of Kent and Sandy’s. Please pray for God to meet with these men, to heal them where they are broken, to lead them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, and to call them out of to active and courageous discipleship.

SOUTH KOREA

Kent will be traveling to Seoul, South Korea, February 23 – March 6 with the Resident and International Beeson Pastors. They will be guests of the Kwanglim Church, the largest Methodist Church in the world. Their pastor, Rev. Dr. Chung Suk Kim, is a graduate of Asbury and his father, Bishop Sundo Kim is on the Board of Trustees. It is a marvelous opportunity for cross-cultural experiences, especially to glean from our Korean brothers and sisters the importance of diligent and faithful prayer.

Of course, while there, Kent will be seeking opportunity for KRM to serve where we are needed. Please continue to pray for God to open doors of opportunity for our ministry to reach people in the Name of Jesus Christ and to serve them with the abilities and resources with which God has blessed us.

TANZANIA

Our call to Tanzania is clear and exciting. For many years, we have been working with the Tanzania Assemblies of God in leader training, orphan care, medical teams, and in many other ways. Our good friend, Rev. Dr. Barnabas Mtokambali is now the General Superintendent for the national TAG Church. We are excited about the possibilities for our work in the future. Please pray for KRM and how we might best partner with our brothers and sisters in East Africa. Also, consider how you might want to be involved. What abilities and resources has God given you which might help the people in that part of the world?

Kent will be taking a class of Beeson Pastors to Tanzania December 1-12 for church leader training and preaching. While there, Kent will interview another candidate for the Beeson Program. We have already placed one Tanzanian in the program, Geoffrey Majule, a Professor and Pastor from Dodoma.

COSTA RICA

Kent will be traveling to San Jose, Costa Rica, on November 5-6 to meet with Methodist Bishopo Louis Palomo to discuss possibilities fro KRM to begin to work in that area. While there, Kent will also interview a candidate for the Beeson Program. Please pray for God to open doors for KRM to have opportunity in Costa Rica.
